The project “Doe-Lokaal” by Wijkbedrijf Selwerd brings together volunteers from the neighborhood with residents who want to have broken items repaired. For this purpose, the foundation provides a space in their building, as well as tools and materials to carry out the work.
The project aims to reduce waste in the neighborhood and assist residents in saving money. The team of volunteers gets to use their skills for the community, while the interaction among neighbors is improved.
For this project, a campaign was set up with two goals. Firstly, to find volunteers to perform the repairs, and secondly, to invite local residents to bring in their broken items for repair. Two series of three posts were created for this purpose, supported by a poster, flyer, and web page.
